Apprehended Infidelity

“I’m so sorry” was all he dared say.

Liar! She was no fool. But…to be deceived, again? Maybe she was. “You said you’d stopped! For me! But I caught you this time, with my own eyes!” He remained solemn. She was pacing, livid, teary-eyed.

“How’ll you ever lose 10 pounds if you keep sneaking pastries?!”
